The first chapter is still being written.
This page will hold the long-term record of what Designing for Change makes possible — the participants who change direction, the partners who try something different, the projects that quietly improve a corner of the world. The first pilot is in development. The stories will follow.
Participant stories
Honest, first-person reflections from people whose thinking shifted in the field. What they expected. What surprised them. What they took home.
Partner stories
How the organizations who hosted cohorts experienced the work — what was useful, what was hard, and what they would do again.
Project outcomes
The concrete artefacts: prototypes, recommendations, design decisions, and the longer-term consequences of putting them into practice.
Testimonials
Voices from facilitators, mentors, community members and supporters who saw the work up close.
"Until then, the most honest thing we can say is: we are building this carefully, and we will publish what we learn — including what does not work."
Specific, honest, and grounded in what actually changed.
We do not yet have testimonials from this program — the first pilot is still in development. Until we do, here are the kinds of statements we are working to make true. We will replace these with real voices as soon as we have them.
"I learned more about stakeholder engagement in four days than in an entire semester."
"For the first time, my engineering skills felt like they were actually helping real people — not just solving a textbook problem."
"I came in confident I understood the problem. I left realising I had been answering the wrong question for weeks."
"Working with the cohort surfaced things our team had stopped noticing. Some of their questions changed how we think about the project."
Real testimonials — with real names, in real context — will replace these as soon as the first cohort has finished.
